This was my first year photographing the Children’s Ball, which benefits Children’s Hospital of Alabama. When I arrived, I already knew this would be a fun-filled event! From the grandeur of the balloon entrance, I knew everyone was expected to sit back and enjoy the show! Children’s of Alabama does so much for the community and it’s considered one of the best hospitals in the world! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Friday night than honoring some of the men and women who take care the children at this world class facility! Thank you for everything that you do!
The Birmingham chapter of Le Dames d’Escoffier held it’s annual Southern Soiree at Jones Valley Teaching Farm. The best of the best in Birmingham’s culinary arts was present for a celebration of food and women in the industry! Proceeds from the event helped to offer scholarships to students who will pursue food-science based careers. The Soiree has always been a great start to the Fall event season! We look forward to next year’s event and meeting some of the new faces of the Birmingham food industry!
Start your engines! This was by far the fastest weekend of the year...literally! Indycar 2018 is here and once again race fans from all over the world gathered at Barber Motorsport Park to cheer on their favorite race team. Every year we look forward to hot laps, red flags, amazing food and plenty of tailgating! Indycar brings so much excitement to the city of Birmingham and it seems to only get bigger and better. It's been such an awesome journey to see the growth of the event over the years! Here are a few of my favorite pics!
Every year Birmingham looks forward to hosting the Regions Tradition. If you're a golf fanatic like some of us, this is definitely the place to be! Professional and amateur golfers joined forces during the Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am. Athletes, former and present SEC coaches along with amateur players made this day especially exciting for sports lovers near and far. On Thursday, everything was back to business as the PGA tour made it's way into Birmingham. Thanks to Bruno Hospitality and Bruno Event Team for having me! Here are a few of my favorite moments from the week!
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Lamberth! When Margie and I met, I just knew that it was meant for me to photograph her wedding! She and her husband John, were married this past weekend at the beautiful Grand Bohemian Hotel. I was so excited to spend the day with the two families including Margie's infamous "sisters". Straight from a Steel Magnolias scene, this day was a combination of joyful tears, gut wrenching laughter, cheers, toasts and more tears. It was the perfect southern wedding! Thank you John and Margie for allowing me to capture the most important day of your lives! And yes, I accept your invitation to Thanksgiving dinner!
Everyone knows how much I love food! Seriously, sometimes it's less of a guilty pleasure and more of an incontrollable habit! Imagine my delight when I was invited to a food party! That's right people, there are parties just for food. The brain child of chefs David Smith and Brent Seamon, Food Party Popup is an event designed for anyone who loves great company and amazing food! The event was held at Avondale Common House . Here are some of my favorite moments!
Can I please touch your belly? I can't quite remember how many times I've actually asked someone that but it definitely happened to Pamela! I'm so excited when couples choose me for their entire life's journey. From proposal, to engagement photos, rehearsal dinner and wedding; now maternity portraits. I can't wait to meet little Landon when he makes his arrival in May! Meanwhile, these are some of my favorite portraits of this stunning future mommy!
